Just a little update on Jaycee for all of those who are following her story. Jaycee is making progress everyday. She is now up to 4 pounds and 4 ounces. She sill has a feeding tube. I may be able to start nursing in a week or two depending on her breathing. She is on a high flow cannula at 4 liters. She needs to be down to at least 2 liters to start nursing. Jaycee's hydrocephalus is still being followed very closely. She has her head tapped twice a day to withdraw the extra fluid from her head to help prevent getting a shunt. We are praying our little hearts out that she can avoid the shunt and absorb the extra fluid on her own. She loves to be held by her Mommy and Daddy! We get to hold her everyday now. As of today she may be in an open crib and out of her isolet. As a whole, she is doing very well and ask that all the prayers keep coming. We know she is surrounded my angels everyday helping her to get better and eventually to come home. We thank god everyday for our beautiful little Jaycee and find comfort in knowing he is right by her side and hearing all of our prayers. Love you Jaycee girl! We will be at your side in about an hour or so and get to give you a tubby tonight and cuddle you.
