The final time in the Isolet!
Look who is a BIG Girl now! |
Just hangin' out and relaxing!
We are so proud of our little peanut. On June 1, 2011, Jaycee moved from her isolet to an open crib. Mommy and Daddy were so excited! We love coming to see you. We just pick you right up and cuddle you. You are so cute and precious. All of your nurses comment on how calm and easy going you are. I keep telling them that you get that from your Daddy. Your nurses also call you the "Squirter" because you love to poop all over everything and a lot of the time it goes flying. Just when you get all new bedding that is clean and cute you squirt poop everywhere. Your grandma Gretchen calls you the "Bazooka Pooper". Hopefully you will outgrow this nickname soon. You are constantly growing and gaining weight each day. You love to be cuddled and sung to every time Mommy or Daddy comes up to see you. You now weigh a whopping 6 pounds and 6 ounces, and are learning how to nurse once or twice a day with Mommy. You love nursing and your stats stay high the entire time. Your Mommy thinks it is so cute when you burp. You almost always get the hiccups after you eat and you sound like a little baby chick chirping. You are starting to cry a little more and you threw your first little fit yesterday that lasted about 30 seconds, all because I was changing your outfit. You have taught Mommy so much. I have become so much closer to our Father in Heaven than I have ever been before. We have many little chats throughout the day and every morning and night. I have watched so many blessings happen before my eyes each and every day while I am with you and away from you. Thanks to you, Jaycee girl, I have a strengthened faith in our Creator and such gratitude for Him as I hold you and feel so blessed that my long awaited dream finally came true -- you! As I hold you, I think about how many things I have learned in the two and a half months since you were born. Patience is the biggest lesson and the hardest lesson that I am learning and trying to master. I have learned that some of the hardest things in life that we have to go through are the most memorable and what we learn the most from. I want to Thank You, Jaycee Girl, for teaching me so much and helping me to grow and be a better person. It's a lot easier for me to recognize my everyday blessings than I ever did before. You give me so much strength. Just the other day I had to get a shot and I thought, "After what my baby girl has been through without a fuss, I can get a measley old shot." I was at the dentist and was scared of the shot and the drill and thought, "Jaycee has had a breathing tube in her throat and a feeding tube in her nose not to mention everything else she has been through, I can handle this little dentist procedure." In the short two and half months you have been here you have already taught me so much. I can't wait to see what is in store for us in the future. Your parents adore you and fell in love with you the second we found out you were in Mommy's tummy. We can't wait to bring you home when you are ready!
And I can't wait till she comes home and runs the show. She will keep her mom and dad on their toes!!! :) Go Jaycee, Go Jaycee! :)
