Jaycee has been such a little fighter since the day she was born. In fact her respiratory therapist said "that little Jaycee is a fiesty one and thinks she is bigger than she really is". The NICU nurses took Jaycee off her vent today and that is why she has all that awesome head gear on. Jaycee isn't too fond of all that gear and keeps trying to pull her feeding tube out. Personally I think that is alot of gear for a little tiny premie to tolerate, but I know the nurses know what is best for her. To top it off Jaycee had to be put under the light again for her blood levels. This picture tugs at Mommy's heart but I know it is what's best. Mommy wishes she could fight your fight for you and would if I could! Love you baby girl!
Here is a picture with Jaycee's little hand in Mommy's hand! Everyone has been commmenting on how long her fingers are and how she is going to be a pianist. Being an educator I know the many benefits that take place when a young child plays an instrument so of course we will put those fingers to good use. Most importantly Jaycee will always have Mommy's hand to comfort her and there for her anytime she needs it!
